Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey.

From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base.

This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more.

In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for growing the Android platform by establishing an effective Android OS value proposition and communicating it via our owned media and co-marketing campaigns with external partners in Japan.

You will work closely with our Android cross-functional team, regional and global marketing team to build Android user strategy, execute high impact campaigns and track results.

You will also work with external OEM, carrier and retail partners to lead co-marketing campaigns to drive Android device business as well as Android branding.

Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of work experience in marketing, business development, consulting, or a related field.
  • Ability to speak and write in Japanese and English fluently.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Consultant experience at a consulting firm and / or an in-house strategy unit within a large company.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in mobile industry and / or marketing, within a consumer technology company.
  • Leadership experience in hardware go-to-market and retail strategy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, quantitative reasoning, and strategic skills.
  • Ability to define and drive large initiatives across organizational boundaries.
  • Lead the development and execution of the Android marketing strategy for Japan, including setting annual goals, creating channel specific communication plans, and managing tight execution.
  • Work with OEM and Carrier partners to drive adoption of Google services through co-marketing campaign schemes.
  • Propose and secure budgets, operate expenditures to drive the execution, track results and ROI to report back to marketing teams in global / region.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across Google to evaluate the marketing opportunities from a strategic, financial and operational perspective.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance and share campaign learnings with relevant teams.

  • Advocate for users in Japan, showcasing the unique market nuances of this region and shepherding product and brand development that can best serve the needs of users in Japan.
