This position is responsible for driving and managing multiple data and analytics consulting projects or life sciences custom product deployment projects, of varying size and complexity, for external customers.

The Life Sciences Professional Services Project Manager will manage all phases of the customer project, from contract signature through customer acceptance.

The Life Sciences Professional Services Project Manager will lead collaboration with internal cross-functional stakeholders : Life Sciences Professional Services Consultants, Life Sciences Professional Services Technical Managers, Product Management, Technology-Development, Technology-Operations, and Quality.

Key Result Areas : Project Management : Depending on scope and complexity, manage up to five highly complex projects and several moderate to simple complexity projects a year.

  • Manage all phases of the project : Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, ClosingCommunication Management : Serve as Primary Point of Contact for customer;
  • Lead customer project meetings; Lead internal project team meetings; Report project status to customer; Report project status to internal senior management

  • Deliverable Management : Ownership of and accountability for the project schedule; Create, monitor, and update timeline for all contracted deliverables;
  • Manage delivery of project deliverables to customer; Ensure customer approval of deliverablesScope & Change Management : Review, understand and ensure project delivers contracted scope;
  • Identify and document customer requests for work outside contracted scopeRisk & Issue Management : Identify, monitor, mitigate or resolve project risks & issuesQuality Management : Maintain project compliance with corporate and public regulations Functional and Technical Competencies : Strong project delivery skills : accurate project planning, delivers to milestone dates, manages resources effectively, communicates status effectively, manages risks, and can juggle multiple activities at once to accomplish goalsStrong organization / project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departmentsAdvanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot / diagnose complex project issues;
  • prior success extracting / translating findings into alternatives / solutions; and identifying risks / impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-makingAdvanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc.

    including diction / terminology and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication mediumsEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences : Highly proficient in both spoken and written English5+ years of Project Management experience in customer-facing roleBachelor’s degree in science, technology, or business, or equivalent experience requiredProject governance certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.

    preferredExperience using MS Project, MS Office, and MS Visio Experience delivering on projects of various sizes, complexity and duration, to customer contract termsExperience partnering with other project stakeholders to resolve issues, mitigate project impacts and deliver shared resultsExperience coordinating team work flow in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDetail-oriented and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and prioritiesResults-oriented outlook with the ability to prioritize and deliver key initiatives
