We are seeking an experienced and professionalHotel Manager to lead the team at our brand-new hotel, Fenix Furano, located in Furano, Japan.

Fenix Furano is a 33 unit, luxury condominium hotel with year-round appeal. In winter, it's just a short walk from the hotel to the gondola where you can enjoy some of the best powder on earth.

For the rest of the year, being in the heart of nature means Furano is home to some of the most beautiful and expansive flower and lavender fields as well as some of Hokkaido's best food.

As Hotel Manager, you will beleading the day-to-day operations and activities within the hotel. You willundertake a range of duties including managing staff, preparing and monitoringbudgets, evaluating property performance, and providing general guidance to theteam, among others.

To excel in this role, you must have proven hospitality andmanagement experience, as well as exceptional communication and interpersonalskills.

As Fenix Furano is in a new location, you will have significant autonomy, so you must also demonstrate thecompetence to build and promote the brand, as well as the ability to lead andact according to the NISADE values and engage accordingly with the local community.

Key Responsibilities :

Overseethe operation of Fenix Furano

Overseestaff including front desk, housekeeping, and all other departments at thehotel

Monitorstaff performance and conduct regular evaluations according to the companyappraisal cycle

Provideguidance and regular, general feedback to your team to improve customer service

Recruitand provide training to staff

Maintainstrong communication within the team and with the wider NISADE community

Preparereports for all stakeholders according to the relevant schedules (e.g. monthlyfinancial reports for owners, weekly progress reports for senior management)

Ensureyour actions and decisions reflect the NISADE values, and be an example to yourteam of how to work by them

Workwith external parties as necessary including travel agencies, businesses withinthe hotel and community, and suppliers

Work together with your team to build strong, meaningful relationships within the local community

Prepare,implement, and adhere to a budget for the hotel

Participatein financial decision making including the establishment of room mates and allocationof the budget for each department

Resolveany issues regarding hotel services, complaints, policies, and amenities, amongothers and oversee any service recovery procedures

EnsureNISADE standards, policies, and values are upheld and lead by example

Prepare,implement, and ensure compliance with all SOPs, policies, procedures, andservice standards.

Createand implement a marketing strategy for the promotion of the hotel

Ensurehotel compliance with health and safety and other legal requirements

Ensurehotel condition is maintained to the highest standard

Evaluateoverall hotel performance and ensure ongoing profitability by ensuring revenueand guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded where possible

Actively participate instrategic planning for the hotel and set short and long term goals

Requirements

Bachelor’sdegree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or other relevant field

Minimum3 years’ experience in hotel management or similar role

Fluent / businesslevel English required, fluent / business level Japanese highly desirable

Exceptionalcommunication (verbal and written) and customer service skills

Ability and desire to work autonomously

Provenleadership abilities

Excellentcomputer skills, including the ability to efficiently prepare presentations,budgets, and other documents as necessary for use / reporting

Genuine interest in Furano and Hokkaido, and desire to build strong relationships within the local community
