Role Description

We’re looking for an exceptional Field Marketing Manager, with the experience necessary to plan and execute initiatives that will drive the growth of Dropbox in Japan.

Collaborating with internal marketing and sales teams, as well as directly with our distribution and reseller partners, it will be your responsibility to implement the strategy and positioning of channel programs in the region, gain insights from the existing partner ecosystem, tailor to-partner and through-partner messaging for Japan market, and manage events / campaigns to maximize program potential.

Our Field Marketing Manager, must have the skills to succeed in a fast-paced startup environment and drive team execution on a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and engage with partners on Field Channel Marketing activities that have a revenue impact
  • Develop through-partner marketing campaigns that partners can easily leverage in their demand generation efforts
  • Example activity includes : Joint partner webinars and demand gen activities to generate leads and pipelineDigital campaigns leveraging the HQ digital teamIncentive campaigns to create run rate revenue
  • Tailor value proposition of the Partner Program for the Japan market and articulate its value in all regional partner-facing messaging
  • Own Partners facing communication in the Japan market
  • Own and maintain the localization process of marketing materials aligned with partners’ request in Japan by working closely with Partner Account Managers
  • Contribute to user, market, and competitive research to better understand Dropbox distributors, channel partners, and ecosystem partners and the competitive market landscape in which they operate in Japan
  • Contribute to key product launches in Japan (market research, participate in the core meeting, defining the launch moment for Channel)
  • Contribute to key activities such as the Partner Advisory Council
  • Requirements

  • 3-4 years field marketing with exposure to to channel / partner marketing in Japan.
  • Experience with cloud services or SaaS a plus
  • Project management skills : can prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward, working across cross-functional teams
  • Track record of effectively delivering multiple and innovative projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Analytical skills and the ability to develop market insights, marketing strategy and analyze marketing effectiveness and ROI.
  • Excellent communication skills : written, verbal, and visual
  • Japanese : Fluent; English : Business Proficient
