Roles and Responsibility

Although this is just a general theory, the more an engineering organization expands, the lower the level of satisfaction each engineer working there feels with the organization.

It is harder to feel a sense of growth, it is harder to be actively involved in the company and its business, there are issues with information sharing, and so on.

We believe that the role of an engineering manager is to solve these problems. At Money Forward, we are currently short of engineering managers to support the expansion of our engineering organization.

We are looking to expand our engineering organization in the future, so hiring an engineering manager is an urgent need.

Therefore, we would like to appoint a VPoE for each business unit / area. The number of people in the engineering organization that will be responsible for the scope of responsibility will range from tens to 100 people.

  • Reporting to you will be the head of the business unit. Each business unit has its own management team, and you will commit to the development of the business as one of its members.
  • You will be responsible for the performance of the engineering organization and the overall experience of the engineers within the organization, as the CTO for the same business unit is responsible for the technology within the business unit.
  • You will also work with the CTO and VPoEs from other areas of the business as part of a company-wide engineering management team.
  • The team will make engineering decisions across the Money Forward Group.

  • In the HR domain, you will be responsible for the following 6 products related to the HR and Labor issues of the back office SaaS "Money Forward Cloud".
  • Please refer to the financial results presentation for a detailed product lineup and other information.

    You will be responsible for the following roles and responsibilities for the overall engineering organization in the HR domain, leveraging your past experience in development organization management.

  • Contribute to improving the overall performance of the HR domain and the company as a whole by improving productivity and maximizing the growth of the engineering organization over the next 3-5 years.
  • Have a viewpoint of the company's overall optimization, and ensure that engineers and non-engineers have a mutual understanding of each other and are moving in the same direction.
  • Continue to produce successors and next-generation leaders for the lasting development of the company and the HR field
  • Improve engineer satisfaction and developer experience so that internal engineers want to call engineers they know
  • Branding "Money Forward is a place for engineers to work" and communicating its appeal outside the company to maintain and improve our recruiting competitiveness.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Experience managing engineers in a development organization of more than 15 people
  • More than 10 years of experience in web service development as an engineer
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Experience as CTO / tech lead / engineer management in a development organization of several dozen to a hundred people
  • Experience in Ruby on Rails service development
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure design, development, and operation
  • Experience in microservice design, development, and operation
  • Experience in organizing and speaking at workshops and conferences
  • Experience in managing global team members

    Annual Salary : 9,000,000 - 25,000,000 JPY 所定 法定時間外および法定休日労働45時間分 深夜労働40時間分の固定手当を含む

    Hours : 9 : 30 - 18 : 30 (1 hour break included)
