Position Overview

We are looking for someone passionate about data and media who can lead the technical interactions with media / advertising customers in Japan / Asia.

Knowledge of analytics, complex data sources / ETL and enterprise SaaS setups will be required as well as possessing fundamental technical and communication skills to manage customers.

Typically, the position is suited for engineers or former engineers who enjoy dealing with product and business problems directly with the customer in the area of analysis, OTT or AdTech.

Coming from a background as a sales engineer or integration engineer will also fit very well as a next step.

The role will consist of managing the customer relationships from a technical and business viewpoint, participating in active discussions around topics of feature development, data transformation, QA and operations to address customer needs that accelerate the adoption of Streamhub's services.

A fundamental responsibility here would be to provide oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and quality of our deliverables.

  • You will be asked to maintain working knowledge of engineering and complex aspects of our products; answer complex questions on function and usage;
  • and solve sales support problems. Naturally, you will become an expert in the features, benefits and application of our products.

    You'll also prepare and perform product demos and prototypes for existing or new prospect customers, providing implementation support and post-sales consulting.

    We're seeking candidates who are able to work proficiently in startup environments on product driven customer opportunities.

    What you'll be doing (Responsibilities) :

  • Take full responsibility for managing the on-going demands from our accounts and inherent sales cycle including general evangelism, introductory meetings, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, account management
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables to customers by being the last person to test and greenlight releases, working with internal testers and developers to deliver stable releases for customer UAT
  • Identify and handle key customer technical objections, discussing internally to offer the best possible solutions
  • Bridge our internal agile development cycle with the customer's existing practices and processes, especially with support and efficient communication
  • Provide proactive support to customers and prospects, being their voice within our team
  • Manage the priorities of the technical support team and basic administration of the Japan office
  • This role will be reporting to the Product Owner, with frequent interaction with the Engineering team
  • Travel when necessary to meet customers - with frequent workdays at the customer's offices.
  • Who you are (Qualifications / Experience) :

  • Tech savvy : you are the problem-solving kind that doesn't shy away from using or learning new technologies to get things done.
  • Tech and data are part of your everyday life.

  • Experienced : 5+ years experience in a technical sales or technical support role, or as an implementation / sales engineer working closely with sales.
  • Enjoys communicating : ability to listen to customer needs in detail, discuss these needs internally, and actively present proposals to technical audiences.
  • Goal Driven : A proven track record delivering on time and hitting goals with new deals or customer success targets.
  • Tech skills (must have) : Experience with APIs, SQL and basic testing technologies (In-browser debugging, Postman, LambdaTest, etc.)
  • Tech skills (nice-to-have) : Experience with at least one server-side language (Python, Java, etc.), and with AWS data-related services.
  • Team player : You're very good at what you do and even better at working with the team to tackle customer problems.
  • Bilingual : Japanese native fluency and English proficiency is required.
  • Extras : Experience in data analysis, online video or ad tech space preferred. A B.Sc. in Computer Science or a relevant experience is strongly preferred.
