Position Name : COBOL Support Lead Role and Responsibilities As a COBOL Support Lead, you are responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module.
You should have good experience in application of standard software development principles. You should be able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks.
You should have in-depth knowledge of at least one development technology / programming language. You should be able to respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers and co-ordinate with offshore team.
You should be able to coach, guide and mentor junior members in the team. Qualification Candidate should have 5+ years of total IT experience.
Hands on development experience in (Microfocus) Cobol Level 3 Linux shell scripting Level 2 Preferred to have exposure to CICS development user interface Additional experience on Oracle Database have added advantage.
Experience working in Application maintenance services engagement using ITIL framework. Experience working for Japanese client.
Experience on working onsite + Offshore based engagement. Should be able to communicate fluently in Japanese. Daily English communication skill.
Able to write and read English. Must have good problem-solving skills. Experience in ticketing system like ServiceNow. Should be ready to work on-call when required.
Good coordination, planning, organizing, communication Risk and issue management, stakeholder management, vendor coordination skill Experience in Manufacturing / Auto domain - SCM area is an added advantage.
