The Role

Veeva Japan is looking for an experienced Sales Director to drive sales for cloud-based Commercial applications in life science organizations.

As a Director of Commercial Sales, you will be responsible for managing a team calling into all of our Pharmaceutical Companies in Japan.

Creativity, energy and the ability to manage a growing team are critical. Qualified applicants should be based in Japan.

Ideal locations are in Tokyo or Osaka.

What You'll Do

  • Hire and manage a team to create and drive business into Domestic / Global Pharma organizations
  • Maintain and grow the relationship between existing customers, making them successful
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across business, IT, and C level executives
  • Communicate with a global team to align with a global strategy of MNCs
  • Meet / exceed pipeline generation and revenue targets
  • Manage complex sales cycles, utilizing internal and external resources as appropriate
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in complex enterprise application with subordinates (5+)
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to have one on one dinner with C level clients
  • Experience in driving and closing of large software transactions (1M+ USD)
  • Native Japanese and business English language proficiency
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience in selling into Pharma / BioTech companies
  • Strong understanding of CRM challenges in the life sciences industry is desired
