Job Responsibility :

  • Acts as "DuPont site manager role" assigned in Contract Manufacturing supplier side to oversee all Contract Manufacturing suppliers in Japan, ensuring suppliers' operation meet business expectation in EHS / Product Quality / Supply Reliability / Cost.
  • Follow CM Standard Process Guide to manage supplier' performance through audits, performance reviews, and collaboration to deliver improvements.
  • Lead and support risk elimination of Contract Manufacturing suppliers.
  • Liaison to engage all functional and business-aligned resources required to resolve EHS / Product Quality / Supply Reliability issues.
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement efforts in Contract Manufacturing supplier' side, to continuously improve supplier performance in EHS / Product Quality / Supply Reliability / cost.
  • Tracks the performance of the suppliers in monthly basis, take actions in proactive way to help supplier eliminate potential risk to fully meet performance expectation.
  • Communicate on a regular basis to key stakeholders, such as CM Leaders and various functional Leads in business.
  • Works with the Contract Manufacturing Leader to ensure projects and related work are prioritized based on the business strategy.
  • Act as the focal point for Management of Change with Supplier.
  • Acts as a focal point for Supplier incident notification and is accountable for ensuring adequate investigation occurs and actions are tracked to completion.
  • Acts as the project manager or team member for the introduction of new supplier, scope of work change in existing supplier.
  • Acts as owner of all supplier-related documentation; ensuring supplier has full understanding of expectations as defined by the Operations Plan, Supply Agreement, Confidentiality Agreement, Technology package and other related documents.
  • Assumes ownership of new activities at existing Supplier by participating in the development of the Operation Plan, supporting the start-up activity through use of the Return to Operation (RTO) Checklist.

  • Is familiar enough with process at supplier to understand the impact of manufacturing issues on the business

  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a strong work ethic
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Science, Engineering, or equivalent Technical Degree
  • Six Sigma Green belt (or higher) certification is preferred
  • CPIM Certification is preferred
  • Fluent in English writing and speaking. Business level Japanese skills are mandatory
  • 5 or more years of manufacturing operations and / or supply chain experience is required
  • Strong background in manufacturing is preferred
  • Technical knowledge related to production of E&I products is highly preferred
  • Experience with Semiconductor (or similar) change control protocols and quality systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with new product introduction, management of change, and root cause investigation is beneficial
