OpenText is looking for a dynamic Professional Services Consultant to help realize and drive OpenText’s growing Enterprise Information Management (EIM) professional services business.

In this role you will assist organizations in maximizing their investment in OpenText solutions. You will be liaising with customers to gain a real understanding of their business needs and drivers.

Excellent communications skills to help build effective relationships with customers and partners alike are essential.

You will be pro-active, technically aware and professional. You will ideally have an understanding and experience of Information Management and how this is implemented and utilized within an Enterprise Content Management system.

You will also be required to analyze and articulate business requirements for translation to a sound technical design.

Working with an outstanding team of consultants and subject matter experts, the OpenText ECM Consultant must be a professional who has an interest in how business processes work and interact with technology in order to deliver world-class Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions that enable clients to become highly effective businesses


  • Work directly with Customers to understand needs and analyze business requirements
  • Design, model and configure document and process driven applications
  • Assist in defining project scope and schedules
  • Use judgment and experience to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Define and implement development plans to meet technical requirements
  • Participate in continuous learning for existing and new OpenText products and solutions
  • Is capable of working alone on a project or as part of a partner blended team as demonstrated by doing so on a project for at least one month
  • Ensure the appropriate level of quality is applied throughout the project
  • Demonstrates strong customer facing skills by building and maintaining positive customer relationships and translating them into long term benefits for the company
  • Identifies potential future project opportunities while working on projects and presents those opportunities to the MPs for investigation

  • 8+ years of professional experience in implementing medium to complex software application
  • Excellent customer interaction skills
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle concepts
  • Information Management, Document Management and Records Management knowledge and implementation experience
  • Good understanding of business process analysis and process design
  • Architecture Sizing and Scaling, Performance analysis experience
  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work with general instructions on new assignments
  • Existing knowledge of OpenText products is a bonus
  • Strong communication skill with native Japanese and advanced English
