Amazon Prime Video team is looking for a bright, self-driven and enthusiastic candidate to join our Content Strategy and Integrations Team as Program Manager.

This candidate will plan for success for our key titles and will primarily be the point-of-contact on behalf of the Content Team to solve complex problems that involves internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include 1) building and ensuring a strong content calendar, 2) creating and aligning on launch plans for key titles with marketing teams (eg.

optimizing release timing, aligning on promotional treatment), 3) negotiating with licensors to fully utilize creative assets of content and 4) being the owner on behalf of the content team of small to mid-size complex projects.

The ideal candidate will enjoy defining new processes / programs, successfully and consistently deliver results and work cross-

functionally to drive best practices. He / she is data driven, comfortable to roll up his / her sleeves to work with multiple tools, pave their own way in an ambiguous work environment and get the job done.

The Program Manager should be proficient in Excel, have attention to detail, acquire superb communication and influence skills and have a strong understanding of content.

This position is based in Tokyo, but will work with teams in Los Angeles, Seattle and potentially across the globe.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Work very closely with our Content Acquisition Managers (CAM), Content Insight Analysts (CIA) and Marketing teams to ensure we have a streamline of compelling content in our yearly calendar
  • Create optimal scheduling plans of our content launch calendar
  • Advocate our key content to Marketing teams by clearly explaining performance potential using quantitative and qualitative data
  • Own and drive discussions with Marketing teams to align our programming calendar with marketing campaigns
  • Get approval from licensors to use creative assets of their content and liaise with marketing teams
  • Invent and simplify communication mechanisms for internal stakeholders
  • Manage our customer support policy toward potential external licensors based on the content guideline
  • 7+ years work experience as a product manager, project manager or program manage (favorably in the content industry)
  • Being an enthusiastic video entertainment fan
  • Highly data and analytically driven
  • Bilingual in Business level Japanese and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • High influential skills
  • Ability to succeed amidst ambiguity
  • Familiarity with Japanese video programs (TV shows and Movies)
