The Role : Project Commissioning Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Project Commissioning Engineer to help us unlock further commercial value for our business.
What will you do?
Lead technical discussions with the customer, acting as key contact person for all technical related topics
Support engineering deliverables development through continuous communication with team members and technical status reports
Actively participate in meetings with the customer, consultants, contractors, and commissioning agents
Prepare and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Plan workforce requirements and lead the Testing and commissioning activities including Local Hardware Settings, Field Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) Settings and Configurations, Point to Point tests, Functional Tests, and Integrated System Tests
Ensure relevant timelines are met, quality of testing activities and documentation is as per customer standards / specifications and Schneider Electric Quality policy
Support the submittal preparation and obtain customer approval on basic and detailed design of integrated solutions in line with the contract (technical, time & performance requirements)
Ensure documentation relating to the project is properly and promptly dealt with in the correct contractual manner
Ensure alignment of project requirements against production of related design, engineering and commissioning documentation and operating and maintenance manuals
Support the project manager to maintain tools to track and index status and completion daily, and update internal and external teams on progress
Collaborate with customer’s project teams, consultants, main contractor, 3rd party vendors and technical leaders for sub-parts
Understand the project milestones & deliverables and contribute to the overall profitability of projects and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
Specify and identify implications from the potential changes on the job versus the contract or agreed design
Implement clear and meaningful scoping of subpart of project scope to insure effective progress and completion monitoring
Knowledge of HVAC applications including Chiller Systems, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil units, Computer Room Air Handlers, Mechanical ventilation units, Sanitary and Plumbing, Fire Alarm, Low voltage, EPMS Applications for Medium / High Voltage Electrical systems, ATS, Generator, UPS and other miscellaneous systems.
Who would be successful?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years’ experience in technical field of expertise (HVAC and chiller control systems, power monitoring systems, etc.)
Working experience in Japan and APAC in Data Center Building Management System (BMS) environment
Ability to lead with agility functional and remote technical team having different fields of expertise
Able to work under pressure with tight schedules
Able to communicate in concise and synthetic manner complex technical topics
Effective decision maker even with imperfect / missing conditions
Excellent problem solving and organization skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
Willing to travel for training and business purposes at an estimated frequency rate of 30%
Experience in project management roles will be an advantage
