Expected position take up date
Responsible for selling the products of the foreign exchange to existing customers of the Bank and liaising with other areas of the Bank with the aim of attracting business from potential new customers, mainly for financial institutions.
Market products by speaking with customers about their needs, financial markets and propose suitable ideas and recommendations.
The approach varies according to the customers and the products :
Corporates - provide information on the markets and advising the customers on how to hedge exposures (for e.g. develop products to reduce the impact of movements).
Identify, target and solicit new customers.
Responsible for some aspects of transaction structuring and work with structuring teams to provide support in developing new or complex transaction structures.
Market foreign exchange products and services to potential clients.
Originate transactions from clients and co-ordinate the efficient execution of the trading desk.
Execute the placement of transactions in accordance with established risk management procedures and risk parameters.
Formulate marketing plans and relate these to marketing opportunities.
Contribute to the formulation of marketing strategies.
Be aware of all economic and financial data likely to affect the products being marketed.
Develop knowledge of client needs and co-ordinate the Bank’s efforts to service customer organisations.
Plan and organise client visits and meetings.
Liaise with Relationship Managers / Senior Bankers in other areas of the bank regarding marketing opportunities.
Aim to meet individual objectives and targets and overall team and product line budget.
Report to the Head of Foreign Exchange daily on an informal basis on the progress of the business and specific issues.
Minimal education level
2 years of higher education (L2)
Academic qualification / Speciality
Degree preferably in a Mathematical subject
Level of minimal experience
Experience in sales for the financial product
Good understanding of financial product line
Extensive market knowledge
