This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to join our premier organization’s expanding Japan Institutional Client & Product Solutions team.
Primary responsibilities for this role include providing support for all aspects of the client service / sales / marketing process, focused on both existing and prospective Japanese accounts across Apollo’s full range of private equity, alternative credit, and real asset products.
Support the ICPS team in Japan by identifying and executing on key client service initiatives, including :
Investor queries : Serve as the conduit between various Apollo CPS product teams and Japanese investors to ensure investor queries on investments, performance, finance, tax etc.
are addressed in a timely and thoughtful manner
Follow ups and Diligence Process : Coordinate and manage any follow up items on a timely basis, including liaising with product team on any diligence questions
Business Development / Sales Support
Assist the Japan ICPS team to develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective investors by liaising with internal and external counterparties to serve as primary point of contact. This includes :
Summarizing relevant information and developing customized meeting materials
Setting up investor meetings in and outside of Japan, and attending roadshows where relevant
Maintaining CRM system with up-to-date client information as well as meeting notes
Maintaining legal ledgers and support the completion of an annual business report to the business license regulator
Assist the broader ICPS Asia Pacific team on any ad-hoc projects / initiatives as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Professional and personal integrity
Native in reading / writing / speaking Japanese, and business level proficiency (spoken and written) in English
Prior experience, preferably within an alternative investment firm (Private Equity or Credit is preferable), fixed income investment firm, investment bank, consulting firm, or other high caliber institutions
Strong work ethic, acute attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a willingness and desire to learn and work well within a team are critical
Experience in sales, marketing, or other client facing role is a plus, but is not required
Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
