Technical Marketing Manager : Animal Nutrition and Health - Proact

We are seeking a positive thinking and passionate Technical Marketing person with the following traits :

  • Have continuous hands on experience in production systems in order to add value as Technical Marketing Manager.

  • Establish and maintain a high profile in the market for technical and scientific rigor to establish trust and credibility with existing and new customers;

    The Challenge

  • Provide technical support in the development and execution of marketing plans for vitamins, premixes, carotenoids, enzymes, acidifier and other new products to achieve the business objectives in the designated markets.
  • This requires being involved in projects from the original concept through evaluation in local experiments to subsequent marketing & sales.

  • Provide technical marketing plus sales support and training to ANH (Animal Nutrition & Health) markets in Japan.
  • Develop innovative solutions and applications for existing DSM products.
  • Provide advice and guidance to DSM global marketing on trends and developing challenges to production.
  • Be responsible for the promotion and publication of results in international journals and preparation of marketing material for the popular press.
  • Provide direct technical and marketing support for customer action plans.
  • Provide technical support through trainings and seminars to DSM sales force, distributors and customers in order to keep them updated on the most recent data pertaining to all animal nutrition and health products (vitamins & premixes, carotenoids, enzymes, eubiotics)
  • Plan, design, coordinate, implement and monitor the conduct of trials in universities and commercial farms for new products of DSM in order to get new data or validate existing data that can be used in marketing and sales.
  • Plan and execute an agreed yearly sales budget for the designated market and selected products
  • Develop and implement marketing programs and tools to support sales in the designated feed segment.
  • Advise account managers on technical matters. Train & motivate marketing staff regarding technical / marketing aspects of DSM products during market visits (one to one training).
  • Identify markets / species for new applications of our Nutritional products. Expand the market by demonstrating production responses and improved product quality by applying DSM products.
  • Identify novel applications of DSM products and maintain a close relation with New Business Development for the development and marketing of these applications.
  • Coordinate with Regional / Global Marketing Management on the trials to be conducted; and recommend the site, budget.funds for the trial;
  • coordinate with the researcher on the progress of trials and get the final report at the end

  • Build and maintain a network of scientific contacts world-wide to serve customer’s needs as required, to provide independent opinions on DNP’s products and to contract application research on new products.
  • The Ideal

  • Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture or Veterinary Science in a university with a Strong Research background or Skills.
  • Several years’ experience as a sales or technical, scientific area in a commercial feed manufacturer or Animal Health and Nutrition Company.
  • Several years’ experience Technical or Marketing in a commercial feed manufacturer or Animal Health and Nutrition Company.
  • Ability to work autonomously but still maintain excellent communication skills to ensure extension of knowledge to customers and DSM marketing staff throughout Asia / Pacific.
  • Intermediate English and Fluent Japanese
  • Knowledge in animal nutrition, production, feed formulation and feed technology.
  • Preferable Skills :

  • Preferred frontline knowledge of the actual Animal Ntrition market.
  • Preferred experience in Animal Production and species
  • Preferred understanding of especcially the poultry business in Japan,
  • Preferred general marketing knowledge.
