Your field of responsibility

Financial Crime Compliance ( FCC ) function is responsible for advising the business on the appropriate standards for compliance with the applicable AML / CFT laws, rules and regulations, advising on higher money laundering risk clients and transactions, providing training, the monitoring of client activities and performing controls covering three business divisions, Private Banking, Investment Banking, Asset Management.

You will also be double-hatted to both bank branch and securities entity.

In this role you would be an integral part of the firm’s FCC program reviewing and identifying FCC risks to Credit Suisse and assessing mitigating controls for significant risks associated.

In addition, as a country FCC function, you would be dealing with local regulatory matters such as inspections and reporting, external / internal audits and engaging in Global and APAC FCC exercises and projects.

In this role, you will report into the senior member of Japan FCC team.

Your skills and experience

You are expected to possess the below :

At least 5 years of proven experience working at financial institutions in Compliance, preferable in the area of Financial Crime Compliance

Knowledge of AML / CFT related regulatory requirements as well as the securities and banking industry will be essential

Understanding of AML transaction monitoring and investigations

AML related qualifications such as ACAMS is preferred

Outstanding interpersonal ability along with written and verbal communication skills

You are a committed team player, highly motivated and having constructive and positive attitude

Ability to prioritize tasks among multiple assignments and work wisely under pressure

Native Japanese and proficient English skills required

Japan Securities Dealers’ Association’s Internal Control Manager qualification is required (otherwise passing the exam within 6 months from the joining is required)
