2) execution of strategic pricing and reimbursement negotiation; and (3) securing patient access and sustaining product value for NN products, achieving the Market Access and Pricing goal of Optimize patient access and secure value competitiveness
Obes ity market in Japan is still in development and will be a challenge to address the unmet medical needs in this therapeutic area.
However, we are a global company and there will be insight from European countries where the Obesity market is already mature, and as there are not many products in Japanese market, once we venture into the market, the potential is enormous.
In Novo Nordisk, the Market Access & Pricing is one of the most globally focused topics and therefore the projects receive considerable amount of investment and attention.
There will be many chances where you will explain to and be recognized by the members of the high job levels.
The Pricing manager is required to lead and execute strategic imperatives as below :
1) works on pipeline access plan and mid / long term price forecast
L ead development of pipeline access plan for Obesity therapeutic area and support on other pricing manager for pipeline products (e.
g. Diabetes, NASH, CVD, Alzheimer, CKD, Growth Hormone, Heamophilia and other new disease area) having direction from Pricing manager / Director
L ead mid / long-term price forecast for Obesity products, reflect pricing input to R&D plans in connection with key R&D projects (e.
g. PPR-portfolio review meeting-) and financial projects (e.g. AB* planning and LTF ) and support on other pricing manager having direction from Pricing manager / Director
2) works on price negotiation strategy and execution
Lead development of price negotiation strategy and execution (e.g. Market Access & Pricing Launch activity plan, pricing dossier creation, MHLW communication documents -Word / PPT / Excel file, project management of payer and market research, presentation for internal / external key stakeholders and participation in pharmaceutical association activities) having direction from Pricing manager / Director
Initiate innovative approaches such as Out of pocket pricing strategy for optimizing / ensuring patient access condition
Support other pricing manager flexibly for development of price negotiation strategy and execution having direction from Pricing manager / Director
3) works on WPP / ARP strategy and support for HEOR (health economic and outcome research) activities and local payer communication strategy
Supports on development of WPP / ARP scheme (e.g. WPP / ARP rate setting for balancing PPP ) and endorsement on WPP / APR from senior managements
Supports on development of LMA (local market access) organization plan and creation of local payer communication strategy
Supports on development of HEOR evidence (e.g. CEA analysis, publication of evidence, project management, KOL engagement)
4) Closely and flexibly works and supports on Market Access & Pricing team to ensure achieving team goals and NN Japan purposes
