Job Responsibilities :
Collaborate with senior business leaders, HR Director and broader HR to establish HR plans and solutions to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results
Recruit, interview, and hire candidates. Organize and participate career events.
Develop and execute talent management plans to ensure that our best talent is placed in the right positions through targeted recruiting and on-going development
Work closely with managers to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, WLB, and retention to maximize business efficiency
Facilitate and provide training to managers and colleagues as required (for e.g. induction and HR coaching)
Drive personal development to maintain and improve knowledge and skills needed to perform at a high level
Manages or participates in regional and local HR projects
Manage everyday HR duties such as employee’s overtime, annual leaves, monthly payroll, social insurance, inhabitant tax, visa application, benefits, etc.
Comply with Japanese labor law and update policies as needed.
Arrange and manage employee’s annual health checkups and stress test required by labor law
Oversee the HR function in Yokohama, Japan
Reporting to the HR Director for North Asia
Job Requirements :
Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or Business related field
Passionate about their work within HR and (preferably) the environmental / sustainability space as a whole
Effective verbal / written communication in English and Japanese.
Minimum 7-10+ years’ hands-on Human Resources experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (HRIS in Workday in particular, would be advantageous)
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Able to work both in a team and independently to deliver results
Excellent stakeholder management and engagement track record with appreciable results
A positive and proactive mindset with which the incumbent can bring people together to work more effectively as a whole in a dynamic organization
