As a Store Operations Lead, you will drive business of our consumer hardware products through our carrier and retail partners in Japan.

You support our end customers who engage with Google’s products and / or carrier representatives in the stores of our partners and ensure they have the opportunity to experience the magic of Google’s ecosystem, including hardware, software, and services.

You will design and lead programs through enhancing sales representative knowledge, advocacy, and execution in stores.

You'll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Product to implement distinctive store programs and work with the programs team to help them scale globally.

You will establish and lead relationships with our carrier partner leadership teams to collaborate on initiatives and identify new opportunities for growth.

Ultimately, you will help build a portfolio that consistently meets standards for merchandising training, field sales, and other key performance metrics that drive business growth.

The Hardware Partnerships team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio.

The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers and resellers worldwide. This includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel, Daydream View, Google Wifi, Google Nest Thermostat, Chromecast Ultra and Google Home.


  • Engage with partners to execute Google Store Operation strategy. Manage day-to-day operations for Google’s retail presence.
  • Distill insights and pursue improvements based on analysis of key performance metrics for display fixture deployment and its compliance and product training.
  • Develop relationships and influence Japan retailer and carrier partners. Manage third-party vendor resources to deliver upon SLAs and agreement terms.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and ongoing management of all customer programs and new products and services.
  • Work with vendors and ensure consumer insights are collected and elevated to the regional and corporate teams in actionable formats to drive the business forward.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in channel field sales and operations in carrier or consumer product industries.
  • Experience managing field sales and training teams.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Master’s degree.
  • Understanding of carrier channel, economics, incentives, and operational dynamics.
  • Existing relationships at carriers and fluid at navigating markets / headquarter dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
