Japan BPS Securities Trading Service Team is responsible for post-trade functions like client allocation bookings, preliminary confirmation, pre-
matching with the clients and processing the transaction data to from front office systems to back office systems while handling the exceptions.
Product in scope is Securities product like Fixed Income and Equities. The position is mainly for Japan Fixed Income support which includes the following responsibilities :
Perform client trade allocations and pre-confirmations / CTM confirmations to meet daily client deadline
Process transactions and monitor and handle exceptions
Work on system / process improvement projects with the team
The team covers various products and markets, such as JGB Cash, JGB Repo, Foreign Bonds Cash (US Treasuries, Structured Bonds, MBS, CDO, Funds, etc.
and Foreign bond Repo.
You will need deep knowledge to resolve BAU issues and irregular requirements.
Majority of the clients are Japanese, who require service in Japanese language, in Japan time acting as the main contact for all clients.
Covering global markets for Japanese clients, the resource will liaise with CS affiliates to resolve booking / confirmation / settlement issues.
You will be required to have sufficient technical knowledge of the Japan street side system JASDEC which is used for JGB and Japan Credit Bonds.
Japan Legal documentation maintenance (Daily Blotter, Trade Tickets, etc.) will be one of the key responsibilities of the resource.
You have at least several years of working experience in Investment banking, either in the relevant department or roles like securities transactions processing, operations.
You have strong communication skills confident in corresponding with Front offices, CCRO, GC, IT departments in onshore / offshore.
You have experience in communicating with the external clients.
You have good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills, and can drive projects.
You are flexible and independent to handle various matters at once.
You are good at drawing the operational flow and process manual.
You are a team-player, understands the importance of teamwork.
You have excellent attention to detail and controls.
You have the ability to work under-pressure, cope with changes and execute in a timely manner.
You have fluency of the Japanese language, as this role deals with Japanese clients, and of the English language to deal with non-Japanese clients.
You are competent in MS Office tools especially in MS Excel.
JSDA Registered Representative license is good to have but not a requirement.
