INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGER, JAPAN
The Information Security Manager will report to the Head of Technology, Japan.
We are looking for a great Information Security Manager who will design and enforce policies and procedures that protect our organization’s computing systems from all forms of security breaches in the Japan region.
You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and working with our Technology department to resolve them, ensuring that our network and data remain secure.
To be successful as an Information Security Manager, you should have expert analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of best practices to prevent a wide range of security threats.
Top candidates will also be excellent communicators, able to train and educate our staff in various information
The security manager is responsible for developing and managing Information Systems cybersecurity, including disaster recovery, database protection, and software development.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages IS security analysts to ensure that all applications are functional and secure.
Being an Information Security Manager develops and delivers IS security standards, best practices, architecture, and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise.
Implement procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards.
Migrates non-compliant environments to compliant environments.
Evaluates the organization to ensure compliance with standards and relevance with industry security norms.
Identify vulnerabilities in our current network and system
Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network and data
Monitor network and data usage to ensure compliance with security policies
Keep up to date with developments in Information security standards and threats
Collaborate with management and the technology, as well as the global information security, department to improve security
Document any security breaches and assess their damage
Mentor and guide information security staff to help them achieve their own career goals while also helping drive the team’s goals.

7+ years of relevant experience in information technology
3+ years of success leading an information technology and / or security discipline
Strong knowledge of information technology and information security compliance principles, standards, practices, and technologies
Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrate project management, organization, and facilitation skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong bi-lingual capabilities in Japanese and English
