Overview :

Guidepoint is seeking qualified candidates for an open position in our Tokyo office. The incumbent will be responsible for selling access to our subscription-based research service and all other Guidepoint products and services as a VP or AVP of Sales.

Guidepoint is a leading Expert Network firm serving some of the world’s largest MNC corporations, consulting firms, investment funds, and government bodies.

We are currently growing very fast across Asia. Guidepoint gives investors, consultants, and professionals of all backgrounds the intelligence they need to clarify the uncertain and assuredly take essential decisions with ultimate confidence via insight and knowledge gained from vetted industry & subject-matter experts.

What You’ll Do :

  • Generate revenue by selling access to our subscription-based platform of expertise
  • Develop a sales strategy designed to achieve revenue targets set by sales management
  • Build and maintain relationships with consulting, institutional finance and corporate executives
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to effectively articulate our value proposition
  • Maintain accurate account and pipeline data in Salesforce.com
  • WHAT YOU HAVE :

  • At least 3+ years of sales experience (more for the VP role) ideally coming from a Financial Services, B2B service, Consulting, Research or Information Services environment
  • Proven successful sales track record
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing effective relationships with stakeholders both internal and external
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment, entrepreneurial mindset, and an unwavering desire to succeed
  • Regional / Global team collaboration and communication experience
  • Excellent communicator capable of handling high-profile clients across multiple sectors
  • Broad base knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management.
  • Clearly demonstrated ability to work independently and within teams.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to travel regionally
  • University degree from a recognized institution
  • Native Japanese speaking with fluency in English
