With a rapidly growing array of sales teams, it's important to have seasoned, charismatic leaders to guide our client sales teams.

As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses.

You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business.

Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service.

You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

In the Kickstart+ team at Google, you will focus on driving customer long term sustainability for our large high-touch customers and for our newly acquired customers.

We believe that an effective onboarding, to increase the customer’s sustainability, can be achieved through attentive support and regular communications.

In this role, you will use your strengths in product knowledge, consultative promoting, and account management. You will be responsible for managing the relationship with our acquisitions and same store team for Google's customer.

Understanding of the customer’s business goals and needs is essential in helping you to anticipate how decisions are made.

Together with the customer, you will set the vision and the strategy for how their marketing plan can reach users.

In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against assigned customer goals, while prioritizing and delivering an outstanding onboarding experience to Google's customers.
  • Work closely with colleagues in New Business Sales (NBS) and Global Customer Solutions (GCS) Sales to deliver seamless customer handovers and ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Implement creative ways to improve our customer’s advertising performance by tailoring and sharing performance-enhancing suggestions, and by promoting other Google products.
  • Provide strategic advice and help our customers get the best return on their advertising investment by working closely in a consultative role with customers.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role working with digital advertising products (Google Ads, Google Shopping, Analytics, etc.).
  • Ability to speak and write in Japanese and English fluently.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and customizing experience to a customer base.
  • Experience or knowledge of traditional media and planning.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with proactively reaching out to customers, and assisting them in adding value to their business. Ability to work autonomously with the demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and work well with others.
