Coach and mentor engineersand product engineers in their job function.
Assist Engineering Managerin providing guidance and identifying developmental opportunities for theengineers in the group
Assist Engineering Managerin directing engineers / product engineers to comply with external (OEM,legislative) and internal requirements
Plan and execute productdesign and development functions that satisfy customer performance and timingrequirements
Interface with customerengineering to establish design goals and make design recommendations forassigned programs
Work with Designer todevelop necessary 3d and 2d data.
Develop productspecifications as required
Work with ManufacturingEngineer to develop production tooling and equipment specifications
Develop and maintain DFMEA,DVP&R, Support control plans and other applicable APQP documentation at the directionof the PM
Coordinate distribution,communication and implementation of all engineering changes in accordance withECM procedures
Ensure compliance withvalidation and product test requirements.
Responsible for the design,prototype components (valves, tubing, hoses, etc)
Support prototypemanufacturing groups to supply prototype parts / assemblies to the customer’ssatisfaction
Implement and capturelessons learnt
Assist manufacturing plantswith resolution of technical issues
Knowledgeabout and compliance to the customer specific requirements
Communication andEscalation lead the customer and internal functions
Degree in Engineering or a comparable education
Minimum 5 years experiencein the automotive industry and 3 years in Product Design / Process Technology
International experience is desired
Knowledge of Testing andValidation, Program Management and Materials and Processing
Knowledge of automotive andindustry standards
Quality Management and SixSigma
Working knowledge of DFMEAprocess
