As a Business Analyst for insurance company, you will continuously optimize business processes and systems.

Implement and / or enhance the information system with adequate and sustainable solutions while meeting the agreed quality, time and cost constraints, by :

  • Ensuring proper recognition, understanding and analysis of the needs of business lines related to one or more functional area
  • Ensuring that the design implementations and solutions to meet business line requirements
  • Ensuring proper priority of requirements by business lines and across business lines
  • Ensuring permanent and continuous upgrade of business analyst practices to maximize value added contribution to business lines and efficient usage of company’s IT resources
  • Ensuring company’s security in business related

    Main accountability :

  • Ensuring proper recognition, understanding and analysis of the needs of business lines related to one or more functional area by Being innovative in the process of gathering requirements, utilizing methods such as workshops, user interviews and other mechanisms to gather comprehensive requirements of users.
  • Tailor these to staff working at all levels within the business Utilizing strong analytical skills to model the performance (in theory or in practice) of systems and identify weaknesses or pressure points where they can be improved.

    Demonstrate findings to technical and non-technical teams with a view to gaining support and approval on benefits of changes / reviews Ensuring that available resources have the proper level of knowledge and skills required to process these activities.

    Mastering sufficiently business processes and tools to contribute in solution identification with business lines. Structuring, analyzing and modeling processes and requirements so that IT solution design can meet business requirements Analyzing with a critical and constructive point of view the requirements formulated by the business lines Ensuring state of art, rigorous and structure documentation of business lines requirements and their approval, taking into accounts the potential stakeholders involved and identifying dependencies Reviewing with other IT departments the solutions provided and the estimated cost for its implementation

  • Ensuring that the design implementations and solutions to meet business line requirements by
  • Being an integral part in the mapping out the proposed architecture of new solutions or pre-existing architecture of legacy systems and be able to justify or challenge the arrangements in order to optimize results for the business Ensuring feedback to business lines on the solution and negotiating or clarifying if required Ensuring review of test plan and test cases in charge by Business Analyst, users or test center to ensure that testing approach covers business line requirements implementation verifications Ensuring coordination and execution of User Acceptance Testing with test center and / or users Ensuring coordination with Project Managers or Product Owners to allocate proper resources required to meet projects’ expectations
  • Ensuring proper priority of requirements by business lines and across business lines, by Ensuring review of requirements with business lines to prioritize Ensuring that prioritization follow company’s strategy and priorities Organizing cross business lines user committees to decide on cross priorities highlight alerts or conflict to management in case Supporting business lines for prioritization through cost and benefit analysis, and strategy alignment Providing to management a portfolio resources usage view to report on the status of the requirements
  • Ensuring permanent and continuous upgrade of Business Analyst practices to maximize value added contribution to business lines and efficient usage of company’s IT resources, by Organizing a proper management of requirements Be the representative of Business Analyst in the project or BAU releases, be negotiated, consolidated and delivered related information to the Business Analyst team Planning resources allocation and reallocation in line with the needs Creating flexibility in capacity using both internal and external resources Ensuring maximal productivity in regard of allocated resources Ensuring proper validations, controls vs.

  • Ensuring company’s security in business related, by Ensuring the awareness of all attached staff (including subcontractors) of the security policies and facilitate their implementation, particularly by deploying the relevant rules in the activities they are in charge of Contributing to the operations of the continuity and staff protection systems, by ensuring that the documentation is up-to-date and by participating to the tests and staff training Contributing to the risk evaluation of the resources, they are in charge of Validating and controlling their staff accesses to resources Inform without delay the security correspondents of all abnormal situation During a crisis, ensure at their level the activities recovery as defined in the BCP
  • Business knowledge

    In-depth knowledge of insurance industry, products, sales and distribution channels, subscription and renewal processes

    Level of Discretion

    Secondary or Tertiary education :

    University graduated, preferably in Business, Finance, IT or related disciplines

    Number of years of experience :

    5+ years in a similar role

    Experience in Insurance, Financial, Capital Markets or Banking industries

    Experienced with the Agile methodology (preferred)

    Behavioral Competencies of the Position

  • Excellent business process design, functional requirement design, and test design skills
  • Basic understanding of Project Management methodology (Understand where they are in the project mgmt. cycle, role of BA in the project mgmt.
  • cycle, especially how to take part as the full-fledged BA during testing cycle)

  • People and solution oriented (need to have a good balance, not accepting all requirement if it does not make sense technically)
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • o Visio : needs it to visualize business flow, but don’t need it that often,

  • Native level in both spoken and written Japanese
  • Business level in both spoken and written English
