Our Solution Architecture team will help prospective clients across all industries to shift the hybrid cloud as trusted adviser throughout our sales activity.

Success in the Role : What are the performance outcomes over the first 6- months you will work toward completing?

Within 3 month, you will be expected :

  • Become competent with VMware Cloud portfolio especially for VMware Cloud on AWS, licensing guidelines, product portfolios covered and standard operations.
  • Be a continuous learner and develop ongoing competence on new solution areas, deep technical and business knowledge of VMC on AWS Cloud solutions.
  • You will also work towards developing AWS competency, industry directions and trends in line with solution roadmaps / acquisitions.

  • Develop relationships with internal sales teams as well as partners and customers as a trusted advisor and assist in leading and handling the technical agenda.
  • This will include assisting in running initial product / solution proof-of-concepts and pilots.

    Within 6 month, you will be expected :

  • Participate in deep architectural discussions with enterprise customers and VMware cloud partners to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software, and services on VMware's cloud platform.
  • Drive technical closure for new opportunities with existing and new VMware customers.
  • Within month, you will be expected :

  • Leverage your prior experience in customer engagement to build long-term and trusted advisor relationships with customers.
  • Be a trusted advisor to customers for their respective cloud strategies & leverage VMware internal ecosystem to work on a joint vision, strategy and technical / solution roadmap to drive incremental adoption for related VMware Cloud Solutions.
  • Make some presentations to increase awareness of VMware's Cloud portfolio in some kind of seminars and enable internally or our customers, partners.
  • The Work : What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

    As a member of the VMware Cloud on AWS team, you will :

  • You will be using your cloud knowledge and strong business acumen to understand customer’s roadmap and use cases and working closely with AWS and customers to achieve their desired business outcomes.
  • Work closely with top AWS Executives / Sellers / SAs across the region including leading VMC on AWS partners.
  • Provide technical architectural guidance based on VMware’s best practices and drive the adoption of VMware products specifically VMware Cloud on AWS portfolio, services and technologies into customer, partner cloud offerings, eventually contributing to VMware’s subscription revenue.
  • Coordinate within an internal set of multi-functional teams such as Systems Engineers, Product Specialists, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management and external partners as described previously.
  • Join hands with the sales leader and accurately forecast license bookings, specific products revenue, PSO bookings and new accounts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis via Salesforce.com.
  • Organize seminars and provide presentations to customers, partners to help raise awareness and get leads, pipelines for VMware cloud.
  • What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

    This position will be partnering with your future Manager of Cloud Solution Architecture and will be part of an incredible team of solution architects who are leading customer's business and technology transformation across Japan and APJ.

    Where is this role located?

    Flexible : The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office (Tokyo) and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.

    You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
