Lionbridge is looking for a passionate Engineering Manager to lead our growing team of internationally talented engineers.
You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle of the Gengo platform, including technical research, requirements analysis, implementation or enhancements to the product, as well as overseeing unit testing, debugging, and maintenance.
As the manager of the Gengo product team, you will be expected to plan out the new features as well as prioritize the various aspects of our legacy code that need improvement.
Responsibilities :
Manage a team of software engineers, including sprint / task planning and code reviews
Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment
Be responsible for the overall planning, actioning and success of platform feature development
Work closely with Operations, Support, UX, DevOps, and wider Engineering teams to ensure effective development
Contribute technically to projects where appropriate, focused on design and architectural decision making for the team
Qualifications :
At least 5+ years of professional experience in one of the following languages : Python, C#, or Go
Experience with web application development and intermediate / advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Experience with information retrieval and intermediate / advanced knowledge of SQL and / or noSQL database technologies.
Experience with distributed or parallel systems and micro services a plus.
2+ years of managing individual contributors or being a technical lead for a team of multiple engineers.
2+ years experience working closely with QA / automated testing, DevOps / SRE, and product managers.
2+ years of experience managing technical sprints, feature roadmaps, and prioritizing backlogs.
Advanced level of written, verbal, and visual communication.
Working on projects that have been deployed to the public that had high scalability and availability requirements a plus.
Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
