Job Summary :

The Service Lead is a senior-level, multi-faceted position that can perform all front of house functions. During higher volume times in the restaurant, this position will focus on less functions at one time to support the higher volume.

Those tasks will typically be taking orders, pouring beers, and checking on tables. During lower volume times in the restaurant, the position will complete all front of house tasks such as directing guests to their table, taking orders from behind the bar, pouring beers, running food & beers to tables, cleaning & sanitizing, waiting on tables and / or checking on tables.

At all times, this position will ensure all quality standards are met and guests receive the most positive and welcoming experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities :

  • Ability to take orders behind the bar, pour beers for customers, answer questions about food and drinks, process POS transactions for customer payments, run food & beers to tables, wait tables, buss tables, provide needed items, and / or check on tables throughout service
  • Responsible for greeting patrons into the restaurant and seat them.
  • Responsible for providing guest with menus if applicable and / or inform them of the new barcode scanner for menu access and ordering.
  • Ability to complete normal and additional cleaning and sanitation as indicated in the COVID-19 Restaurant Safety Plan.
  • Ability to answer customer questions as needed on food items, beers, retail or other.
  • Responsible for the knowledge of the simple descriptions of each menu item. This includes basic ingredients, preparation and flowing description phrases.
  • Ability to understand the fundamentals of our beers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring beer quality is at its best when running beer(s) to the table. Foam head should be at 2inches high.
  • Ability to look for ways to improve the guest experience.
  • Ability to pay attention to the details and anticipate guest needs.
  • Responsible for reporting a guest’s opinion and / or concern to the manager.
  • Responsible for alerting a manager when you are overbooked and ask for assistance so that no one gets left behind.
  • Understand and maintain a working knowledge of all company and Taproom policies & procedures and comply with them.
  • Ability to always be positive and proactive with guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to work as a team with other staff to ensure a smooth and successful working environment.
