Twitter is seeking an exceptional digital leader to serve as Country Director - Japan and lead the Japan Twitter Client Solutions business.

The Country Director - Japan will lead Twitter into its next horizon of growth and market impact. This role will lead strategic efforts to increase revenue generation and client relationships across a portfolio of industries with the market’s most strategic accounts and their advertising agencies.
The Head of Japan Sales will be one of the key public faces of Twitter within Japan, lead the operations of the sales team, and drive the country’s sales strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of business leadership, strategic thinking, analytical problem solving and deep product knowledge all with a country-specific perspective.
He / she will be a spokesperson for the company at external conferences and events as well as interactions with the press.
He / she will also be expected to foster a creative, productive and innovative cultural aligned with Twitter overall.
Cross-functional collaboration will also be of paramount importance as this highly visible role must partner successfully with Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Engineering and Human Resources.

Strong Leader and Builder of teams : This person should have strong track record of building and leading great teams. This executive will be able to demonstrate a track record in hiring and developing talent who have gone on to be leaders in other organisations, or have followed this person to new roles and wanted to work for her / him again.

Like all executives at Twitter, she or he must demonstrate a track record of flexibility, innovation and engagement. She or he will operate like all other business leaders, in a thoughtful and metrics oriented fashion.
Publically represents the company's interests and position to interest groups, journalists and policy makers etc.
15+ years of demonstrated career progression and strong performance as a senior leader, ideally in digital content, platform sales or related business.
A minimum of 10 years leading a sales or partnership development organization.
Proven track record of successfully negotiating deals at senior levels of major brand and / or media companies; ideally brings deep relationships from the media and agency landscape.
Knowledge of mobile and internet products and technologies; well-developed product sensibility and experience leading creative discussions regarding potentially innovative, unique and engaging context and product offerings
Track-record of collaboration and influencing across a large organization to deliver to expectations.
Management of a team across countries in a client-facing environment.
Proven ability to use measurements and analytics to position data to illustrate impact.
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
