You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL) in the Public Works Business Line, Yokosuka, Japan.

You will conduct on-site inspections, testing and investigations to determine conditions of equipment, cause of inefficient operation, failure or malfunction.
You will examine the installation and / or repair of Boilers / Unfired Pressure Vessels (UPV) to insure they meet all regulations, standards, and applicable codes.
You will review all plant operating logs, inspection reports, repair sheets, feedwater tests and treatment logs to evaluate the condition of equipment, plant efficiency and adhere to prescribed Preventative Manitenance requirements.
You will prepare special written instructions and / or guides regarding proper operation and maintenance of specialized equipment.
You will provide engineering services in planning and carrying out a regional program of inspection for activities for mechanical systems and sub-systems.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
