Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners.

Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings.

Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Partner Development Manager in the Android Auto Partnerships team, you will own the relationships with stakeholders in this vertical including car original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and automotive suppliers.

You will lead the facilitation of the license and distribution agreements with external partners for Android and Google services adoption to their platforms.

You will represent Android Auto to APAC OEMs and related suppliers, inspiring your partners with concepts of experiences we are enabling in connected cars.

You'll be a true thought leader who can see multiple steps ahead and identify industry trends and key influencers. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.


  • Drive and track broad adoption of Android and / or Google services across the automotive industry and APAC specifically.
  • Manage partners to grow existing business through regular business reviews, mutual goal setting, building strategies to optimize performance, and driving projects.
  • Lead facilitations with external partners, analyze issues through complexity of decision making process.
  • Focus on agreement closures of license and distribution agreements by aligning on business goals of your partners and positioning Android and Google services in their strategy.
  • Drive business opportunities and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of business issues with partners.

  • Improve product feature offerings by synthesizing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of work experience, including 4 years of related business development and / or sales experience.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently and idiomatically.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • MBA and / or technical background.
  • Extensive automotive, hardware and / or software industry experience, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of Android platform and ecosystem to be able to communicate its value to your external counterparts;
  • strong communication skills, with the ability to comfortably interact with partner’s and executive management.

  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to deliver against strategic business goals and adapt to shifting priorities in order to help teams achieve objectives.
