We are currently looking for a dynamic, goal oriented and highly motivated Key Account Manager to join our team in Japan. 

Reporting to the Country Manager, you will work alongside the Professional Services Department, the Support Team and the Business Development one, in order to foster and ensure long-lasting relationships with existing clients. To reach this goal, you will have to connect with key business executives and stakeholders to identify new business opportunities among existing customers. 

This role provides an ideal opportunity for owning the end-to-end experience of our strategic customers, being in charge of their satisfaction, renewals, expansion and advocacy for our solutions.

If you take the challenge, you will be responsible for: 

  • Ensuring customer’s happiness and satisfaction by constantly checking their engagement with Board platform and services
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers
  • Being the main point of contact for all customer matters, monitoring their needs in order to mitigate their concerns and finding new opportunities
  • Negotiating contracts and closing renewal agreements
  • Developing new business within existing clients through up-selling and cross-selling initiatives, matching customer needs with product functionalities to deliver optimal outcomes both in terms of product usage and customer experience
  • Supporting the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of subscription sales experience in an Account Manager role in the software industry (e.g. EPM, BI, ERP)
  • Proven capability in managing several accounts simultaneously, while maintaining a sharp attention to detail
  • Proven track record of working in a customer facing role in a SaaS or software company aimed at identifying opportunities for expanding the usage of the software and selling more licenses 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or any relevant field Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • A clear understanding of business-related dynamics
  • Native Japanese and upper intermediate level of English is mandatory
