Department Overview In order to smoothly promote the business operations of Rakuten Seiyu Net Super, Inc., a subsidiary, the Business Directorate Section performs back-office operations, mainly in the area of general affairs and governance, and provides business support for the entire supermarket OMO / DX business.

You can try to organize subsidiary’s back office operation, with support of specialized units in Rakuten Group, Inc. Position Details Will entrust a job as a manager of General Affairs and Governance, Group, a newly established team.

The position requires developing your own people, and engaging business assignment centered on general affairs, and governance area by yourself.

Being dispatched to its subsidiary, from document management, sealing procedure, facility management, and various types of insurance for subsidiaries under our control, to ensuring occupational health and safety, we work with the head office human resources and general affairs to create a comfortable workplace.

We also negotiate and coordinate with vendors in connection with the launch of new distribution centers for online supermarkets in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Kansai region.

In addition, you will be responsible for a wide range of governance tasks for the entire business unit, including subsidiaries under your control, such as the operation of shareholders' meetings and board of directors’ meetings, maintenance of regulations, management of applications for permits and licenses, development of information security systems, and formulation of BCP.

Furthermore, as a member of the business unit, you will be responsible for reviewing contracts and providing advice on legal issues when providing services to customers and launching new businesses, as well as acting as a smooth bridge between the business unit and legal affairs to ensure that you receive the advice and support you need for your business.

You can expand your own opportunities to play an active role and contribute to the expansion of the supermarket OMO / DX business by proactively proposing your own ideas in addition to the work assigned to you.

  • This position will be employed by Rakuten Group, Inc. and will be transferred to Rakuten Seiyu Netsuper, Inc.
  • The original domicile will remain Rakuten Group, Inc. after the transfer. Additional information on English Qualification TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
  • TOEIC Score of 600 or higher is acceptable for fixed-term employees. In this case, it is necessary to achieve a TOEIC Score exceeding 800 after joining Rakuten in order to be eligible to become a regular employee.
  • If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
