As a member of the Palo Alto Networks Sales team, the successful Service Sales Consultant will be responsible for partnering with Account Managers to sell value-added services to customers.
The successful candidate will be employing the ability to design and architect delivery solutions, and assist customers with planning for a large-scale transformation in technology, combined with skills to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within customers.
The successful candidate should be a highly competent presenter, with a demonstrable track record of communicating technical solutions in terms of business value and communicating services solutions to C-level executives.
The position reports to the Director of Japan Service Sales.
Assist the Service Sales Manager in clarifying customer requirements, primarily from a service implementation technology perspective.
Support service sales managers to evaluate opportunities. What kind of service can we provide to solve the customer's problem, and what are the risks involved in providing the service? And so on.
Responsible for detailing the work and estimating man-hours in cooperation with the delivery team. Lessons learned from other projects will identify work that is at risk and should be kept in mind.
Draft SOW and ask the delivery team to confirm. After review, finalize and request signatures from the customer and HQ personnel for completion.
This role will have the experience to leverage the most advanced and broadest portfolio of cybersecurity and consider how it should be implemented.
BS technical degree or equivalent
5+ years of delivery / professional services delivery experience
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally
Ability to create technical documentation for sales and delivery teams
Sales experience, quota-carrying positions
Superb organizational and prioritization skills
Whatever it takes" attitude and motivation to deliver above quota performance
Proven experience positioning services to large enterprise companies and creating project plans and detailed statements of work is required
Experience working with Channel partners and understanding a channel-centric go-to-market approach
Knowledge of network infrastructure-based security appliances, including but not limited to : Firewalls, SSL / IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches, Cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and SOC environments
Practical knowledge of routing and switching products that may be installed adjacent to the Palo Alto Networks appliances
