The Key Account Management team works closely with our most important clients across the region, including identifying and understanding business goals, coaching and counseling clients the way they think about social media, online editorial, print, and other types of data, on what the media monitoring and analysis goals should be and how to achieve them.

We are aiming to turn external data into credible insights that are used to measure organizational performance, track competitor and industry development, manage PR crises and leverage innovative opportunities for our clients by using Meltwater solutions.

About this role

You will be at the cutting edge of the media intelligence space by driving strategy and widespread product adoption among a small portfolio of our high yield and high potential clients.

You will challenge existing norms within our industry and act not only as an expert in Meltwater's product set, but as an extension of our clients communication and marketing teams.

You will be working with the Enterprise sales team to identify and execute the opportunity of upsell and cross sell at the assigned accounts.

Measures of success include revenue delivered vs. targets, client relationship development, up-sell and optimization effectiveness, client satisfaction and retention levels, and contribution to the overall sales team.

Territory will be clients based in Japan.

What you will be doing?

  • Create and drive revenue growth within a portfolio of around 20-45 of our high yield and high potential enterprise clients
  • Meet and exceed sales metrics with both individual and team targets
  • Build positive, strong, long-lasting relationships with top decision-makers at C-levels and functional levels through customer engagement with numerous product offerings to increase value and drive market share
  • Implement strategies to drive business growth and inform decision-making at the C-suite level
  • Increase revenue by negotiating contract renewals for long-term subscriptions while developing up-sale and cross-sale opportunities
  • Work with various BU's within Meltwater to drive revenue opportunities with the client.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of forecasted sales to meet monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives.
  • Leveraging internal resources and business partners to provide solutions to customers’ challenges
  • Inform and drive knowledge by challenging the status quo across traditional and social channels
