Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization :
Provide continued and ongoing leadership in Japan e-Commerce for the adidas Group to become a leading sports brand in Japan
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :
Manage and deliver against full financial P&L for the Japan e-Commerce business.
Identify key growth strategies or e-Commerce in Japan and create business plans that result in the establishment of a long-term interactive relationship between adidas and the consumer.
Manage the execution of global strategies, while leveraging market industry knowledge and metrics to influence market-specific changes, adjustments or recommendations.
Member of global e-Commerce leadership team responsible for helping set and drive adidas' global e-Commerce strategy and results.
Partner cross-functionally with adidas Japan leaders to capitalize on opportunities and develop and implement initiatives that will drive sustainable growth.
Manage eCommerce platforms to optimize the e-Com distribution channel with Japanese consumers
Work with IT and cross functional team to ensure our platforms are up-to-date and able to support increasing consumer demands
Work with cross functional team together to ensure key e-Com dates in Japan been managed properly with strong business growth while remain high service standards
Maintain a proactive approach to strategy execution and consistently communicate vertically and cross-functionally to ensure alignment of internal priorities and resources are allocated appropriately to achieve desired results.
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, quotas, and other projections as required. Analyze sales records and trends in relation to objectives and competitive activities.
Manages the implementation of Brand initiatives, programs, and procedures to promote key messages and achieve a competitive advantage in the retail marketplace.
Ensuring own department, as well as cross-functional departments, is aware of e-Commerce strategic objectives.
Identify, plans, and executes areas for improvement to ensure consumers understand and receive the full Brand experience online.
Set the direction for business / department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with business objectives.
Partner with cross-functional departments (HR, IT, Finance) to ensure their department initiatives are aligned with business and marketing objectives.
Lead and inspire a cross-functional team to achieve their business goals through setting clear and measurable objectives, developing their functional and relationship skills, and owning career progression planning for the team.

Professional Background / Experience :
A minimum of 15 years related experience, with at least 5 years of eCommerce experience and 5 years of management experience.
Business experience in the Sporting Goods, Apparel or Sport Lifestyle Industry preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be substituted for degree
Extensive knowledge of the eCommerce industry, including web / internet sales and marketing techniques, order fulfilment strategies, market research and analysis practices, and media marketing and communications capabilities.
Holistic thinker who can establish and drive end-to-end strategies and initiatives encompassing multiple functions
Must demonstrate strategic discernment and ability to navigate strategic challenges.
Strong business acumen in channel distribution, net sales, margin, profit and inventory.
Basic knowledge of footwear / apparel construction and / or production, and an understanding of advertising material production and design.
Advanced financial knowledge and skills, and the ability to leverage this for business planning and budgeting.
The ability to skillfully negotiate, winning concessions without damaging relationships.
Ability to present effectively to groups, including members of all organizational levels, and gain collaboration for strategic level planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across organization functions and levels and to write and prepare executive-level business correspondence.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations to determine impact on business.
Ability to use and understand mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, with an emphasis on Retail mathematics.
Ability to diplomatically resolve conflicts and compromise.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work independently to achieve the mission.
Strong leadership and coaching skills, and the ability to capitalize on and apply these skills to create highly productive and highly engaged teams.
Ability to delegate effectively.
Education / Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or Master in BA (four-year college / university
Advanced knowledge in MS Office application
Proven track record as a Leader
Previous experience in matrix organization required
Fluent in English, Japanese as a plus
