This position as MySQL General Market sales for JAPAN isconducting MySQL Enterprise Product sales to the MySQL General Market in Japan.

Focusing to work to find the new sales leadsand creating the proper pipeline for MySQL offerings. The sales model is bothof Direct and In-

Direct depends on the deal situation. Utilizing the internetsales tool and proactive outbound call + On-site sales call to conduct thesales role.

MySQL General Market is all industrial / Public customer in Japan, excludingMySQL Key Accounts)

Essential Responsibilities :

1.Develop new business by driving sales in their existing andnew MySQL customer in General Market in Japan.

2.Developing and executing account plans to achievetargets : prospecting, qualification, account mapping and presentations.

Both ofCold-Calling sales job and On-Site sales job are required depends on thesituation.

3.Responsible for all aspects of the selling process -Identify, Qualify, Sell, Close and Administer :

A) Identify

  • Generateleads by using networking and other sales tools
  • B) Qualify, Selland Close

  • Identify keysteps to close sale, identify decision maker and influencers, etc.
  • Determine Availabilityneeds and Objectives
  • Gainagreement of proposed solution / Services, tying back to customer businessdrivers
  • Closesignificant $ sales across multiple Accounts across assigned territory
  • C) Administer

  • Accurate Forecasting of business & keeping records inthe internal systems updated
  • 4.Effectivelyutilize available Oracle’s Sales toolsfor pipeline development, tracking opportunity progress (Forecasting),developing weekly, monthly, quarterly level forecasts

    Qualifications :

    MANDATORY 5+ years experience in IT industry.DB sales experience is big plus for thisposition.

    MANDATORY - Candidate must be located in Tokyo

    MANDATORY - Demonstrated history of regular goalachievement inhighly competitive environment (top 20% performer) withobjectives inexcess of US$1.0M p.a

    MANDATORY Understanding the Alliance and Channel modelin theterritory with the good enough business connections withthose companies.

    The preferred candidates will have experience in sellingin more thanone of the following market segments : Telco, FSI, MNFG,Public

    Entrepreneurial in creating and closing opportunities.

    Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player with excellentverbal and written communication skills

    Successful experience selling into both technical userbase and Managers and Directors levels

    Excellent multi-tasking skills : Ability to drive aportfolio approach to territory management

    Outstanding relationship building skills withresponsiveness and integrity

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to small-and-medium sized accounts. The role is a combination of a Field Sales Rep and Inside Sales Rep.

    Works to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory. Territory may be combination of geographic, product, industry and other customer / market dimensions.

    Sells to the territory directly or via partners. The territory that this rep covers does not have an Inside Sales Rep or Field Rep.

    Utilizes inbound and / or outbound techniques to identify, qualify and close new opportunities. Manages accounts throughout the entire sales process, and collaborates with team members in business development, consulting and support to uncover all customer needs.

    Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues to develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application.

    Travels to customer sites to identify / develop sales opportunities. Participates in the development, presentation, and sales of a value proposition.

    Onsite customer presentation with C-levels to negotiate and close strategic and complex deals. Liaises with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities and maximizing sales.

    Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have a project lead role.

    Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills. Successful sales track record. Oracle knowledge and / or knowledge of Oracle's competitors.

    interaction with C level players. Team player. Ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts.

    Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Travels to customer as needed. 5+ years relevant sales experience.

    BS / BA degree or equivalent preferred.
