Our firm was one of the first international law firms to be licensed in Japan we opened our Tokyo office in 1987. Today, we have the largest and most diverse practice of any international law firm in Japan, with 120 attorneys in Tokyo (including 45 bengoshi admitted to practice in Japan).
Our firm’s clients in Tokyo include many of Japan’s most substantial and active companies, including Astellas, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Mitsui & Co.

Summer Associate Program Description
Our Tokyo office offers a US-style summer program that is unprecedented in the local market. Students accepted into the program receive valuable mentoring and networking opportunities, and work on substantive client matters.
They interact closely with attorneys of all levels (including both US attorneys and Japan-licensed attorneys) as well as with clients, and they have the opportunity to participate in various social events in and around Tokyo.
assisting with drafting and negotiation sessions; assisting in depositions and witness preparation; and performing due diligence in corporate transactions.
